At Serotonin, we feel it's more valid to reconnect with the SPIRIT of something valuable from the past, whatever it may be, and make something new and original from it. This is an ongoing artistic process with which most progressive artists are perfectly comfortable. It is not new to the electro or new wave revivals, on the contrary, the "original" new wave and electro movements were regenerations of spirits that proceeded THEM.

This is the essential difference then; either an artist is connected with the currents of musical evolution and contributes to them, or he/she is a thief who steals from musical traditions and lends nothing original to the continuum.
