I was given this name in 1990 by Skip McDonald of Tackhead.
Once he came over to my studio with a mutual freind and proceeded
to check out my abilities on the Akai S-900. Later, when asked by band-mate
and funk bassist virtuoso Doug Wimbish what I was like to work with, Skip
was quoted as saying:
"Man, that dude is one button-pushing mutha fucka!"
I had never heard a remark that more closely resembled myself.
I decided that I would become BPMF and push every
button I cound get my fingers on.
